This pattern is a good example of using the "cross stitch" method (I'm not sure how other people call it but I usually refer it as cross stitch 'cos it looks like a cross). The "cross stitch" method is a basic pattern which you will see throughout this site. For example, the cross, the beaded bead and the two-tone ring . . . are all based on this basic beading technique.
